It seems like forever since I last blogged. With facebook,everyone knows what is going on before you blog it. As everyone knows Scott has accepted a new job in the state of Az. Leaving the kids and I temp. in Washington. The most difficult part of all this is where to live; Idaho or Arizona. I am so lost. I do not want the heat or az. I want the trees and weather of idaho. Family is in Az, but we would be close to all families in idaho. The schooling system is about the same. Arizona is the hub for Scotts new employer. Airlines offer flights to Idaho and we only have to pay the difference. Where to live, when we know we are going to move at the end of September.

Life

Why is it that life throws us no many obstacles? Some are good and some are bad. What are we supposed to do with these trials? Is the glass half full or is the glass half empty? I have come to learn that God will not give us more then want we can handle. For every obstacle, we become stronger and wiser in life.

Whatz new

Well I started Weight Watchers a little over a month ago and I was doing great at first. Now I find it more difficult then I had expected. It is those nights where I do not want to cook and I find myself going to get fast food for everyone. It is time to get back on track. I refuse to step on the scale until I know that I stuck to my diet and exercised like I was a couple of weeks ago. It is time to get focused. Other then that, everyone is doing well. Alex is now on the cheerleading squad, and working hard. She is a little sore from lifting some of the girls. Joshua is Josh. He is doing really well in high school and looking forward to working this summer to get his truck running by Dec. 12, his birthday. Scott is still not working and I am trying to get a job. Not as easy as it used to be. Not sure what is going to happen, but everything happens for a reason, and there is a reason everything happens. Just have to pray for guidance and be thankful for what we have. I know that God has plans for us and we just have to look for the signs and jump on board.

Trout opens tomorrow and Scott is taking Alex fishing. Alex is just like her dad when it comes to fishing. We will see how they do. You know that Alex will catch more fish. LOL...

Well we took a mini vacation this week. We never stayed the night, but we came home late. We took a drive to Forks, Wa. and checked out the little town to see what all the talk was about with the movie twilight. Forks is not that great, but LaPush is wonderful. It is about 10 minutes from Forks,on the Indian Reservation,very small town. The waves are so powerful and the rock sculptures are so breath taking. I could have spent a day on the beach just staring at the scenory. The weather was overcast and a little rain, but it did not stop us from traveling the pacific highway as far as we could go. Saturday, we went to Portland and Vancover to check out the sights. I much rather have been back in LaPush.

I was sitting here today thinking there are so many sites to check everyday to see what people have been up to. Is it really necessary to have so many sites? It seems so times consuming. I enjoy coming to this site to see what my family has been doing, when they let us know. I know that facebook is easier to say "Hi", but what is next?

The family is doing well, well as well as can be expected. Scott has been out of work for month now and we do not know when he will be returning. So we are starting to look for other jobs, and I am starting to apply for positions. We are not limiting ouselves to the Seattle area. We are also posting for jobs in Spokane. This is ideally were I would like to live.

The best part about today, I only have 6 more months of school (4 more classes), and my BA in Criminal Justice in Administration.

Side note: the dogs are fine, sleeping as usual. The rats are doing well also. They also sleep most of the time. It must be tough being a dog or a rat.

TWAS DECEMBER 19, 2009 AND ALL WAS CALM, EXCEPT FOR THE DAD AND THE YOUNG ONES. THE HOUSE SMELT LIKE DOG, AND A LITTLE BROWN PAINT, AND MOM WAS UPSTAIRS ABOUT TO FAINT. THE TREES WERE A GLISTEN, THE KITCHEN A MESS, BUT THERE IS ALWAYS TOMORROW TO GET SOME REST.

Halloween

This past Halloween the kids took different roles. Alexandria passed out candy in her green wig, purple and stripped stockings, witches dress, and striking hat. Joshua spent most of his evening scaring kids at a neighbors house (who would have guessed, lol). Later in the evening Joshua hooked up with friends and girlfriend (Kayla). From what I understand they had a great time acting crazy and having a candy war. What Josh was not expecting was the fact he had to take his little sister. This was not a bad thing, she knows all of Josh friends and gets along with Kayla.

School

We are starting the month of October and the kids are still having fun attending school, who would figure. Joshua has a girlfriend (Kayla) and they seem to get along great. She came over the other day is very sweet and beautiful. Alexandria is playing softball and looking forward to trying out for winter sports. She is getting a little ahead of herself. Lol.

Okay lets try this again. We have plenty of time to get our families together to post for a nice picture to send out for Christmas. I am hoping to get a picture taken within the next few weeks in order to send them out in Christmas cards. I hope to see pictures from everyone.

Humor is in the eye of the beholder. Joshua lost his schedule for school over the weekend and was not sure which class to go to this morning. As it turns out Joshua adapts pretty well under pressure. He made it to his first class where he asked the teacher for his schedule and class numbers. When he stepped away to get something off his desk another student changed one of the numbers for his second period. Josh ended up going to a senior class for second period. Instead of stressing out, Joshua just hung out and joked around with some of the other students before the teacher made eye contact with him. Once the teacher was able to get in an inch wise between Josh and others students, my son was directed to the counselor office to get a new print out of his schedule. I do not think I would have handled matters so well when I was high school. I am very proud of my son.

School

Well the kids started school yesterday. Joshua seems to like his classes and looks forward to attending school. The only concern I have at this time is the school allows the students to swear between classes in the hallways (closed campus) as long as they do not use degrading words (f...., b...., etc.). One of things that disappoints Joshua is the lack of girls in his classes, it seems that there are more boys then girls at the school. Alexandria really likes being in school again and seeing her old friends, unfortunately one of her best friends is supposed to move before the end of the year either to another city within the state of Washington or out of state the father has not decided at this time (he has job offers). Right now she is starting Softball. She was so cute practicing yesterday, the helmets are a little to big for her so I might have to buy one. As she was running from base to base she had to adjust her helmet so she would not fall. Bailey started school on Tuesday and it taking an English class and ASL class (sign language this is her second class). Scott and I are doing well and the dogs and rats. Parents that have kids in school enjoy your peace and quiet, it doesn't last long.

First Day of School

Today is the first day of school for the kids. Joshua is nervous about attending High School and making sure that he gets to his classes on time. I know that he will be fine and will enjoy every moment today. Alexandria is ready and excited to attend school. She gets to see her friends again and try out for Softball. After seeing her brother play ball last year, she now wants to play every sport she can. I only hope that she continues to stay positive and enjoys her time at school this year. Personally, I am going to soak in every moment of quite time. Accept for attending school I am free until June 15th, 2010. LOL....

Well summer is almost to an end for the kids. Joshua went to Summer for Success Camp today. It is the first of four days. The high school will let the new students (freshman) know what is going to be expected of them for the next four years. Luckily enough the kids do not start school until Sept. 3rd.

Today is August 4th and not much is happening these days. Scott is traveling to Montana this Friday for a mini vacation. He will be putting up drywall for the down stairs, going fishing, and eating homemade pancakes at one of the best family restaurants in Missoula, MT. He is hoping to return home before the end of the week with Joshua. I miss Josh so much and can not wait for him to get home, unfortunately he has other plans. Josh plans on hanging out with his friends everyday, swimming, and grinding his bike. Hopefully, he will have time for me and hanging out. In the meantime Alexandria and I will be home by ourselves with Sadi and Sebastian, the guard dogs. I would hate for someone to come into the house while we are sleeping, as Scott says Sadi will eat them.

Mini Vacation

Scott took last week Thursday thru Sunday off for a mini vacation. Mom and Dad came to visit. We were able to see (except Joshua he is in Montana still working for my dad) Mount Rainier and the Fish Market (Pike's), and take dad fishing on the pier. The weather was beautiful for our travels. Chevy 84

Today we went and picked up the 84 Chevy, who would have guessed that it would have taken several hours to get the motors and truck onto the bed of a trailer. I wish I could have recorded the incident. Unfortunately there are always mistakes when moving a vehicle from one home to another and we had our share. Luckily enough they were just little mistakes. The positive side, it only took 10 minutes to get the truck off the trailer and into our garage. Now we have two motors, and nothing but time to work on the truck.
You can tell that Josh is excited about getting the truck tricked out. There are is so much he can do to the truck to make it look fantastic. I have to admit that Scott and I are also excited to work on this vehicle. I am even tempted to get my own car to work on (mustang, camaro, or stingray). Who knows maybe one day I will.
Tomorrow is Alex birthday and she wants either ribs or Mexican food for her birthday. We are gong to try and get tickets for harry potter in the morning for an evening showing. In the meantime we will continue to post pictures and events.

1984 Chevy shortbed

Here is the moment everyone has been waiting for. Here are some pictures of the truck we may or may not get this week. It is still up in the air at this time, but chances are we will either end up with a boat or a truck. I hope everyone likes the pictures and no there is no picture of Scott, Alex, Josh or I, just a truck. Oh and I have to tell everyone I been looking online for parts and found some great items for the truck, just in case. Did I happen to mention that Scott will not let me drive the truck if we get it, he is afraid that I will race down the street if we put the bigger engine in.

American Lake

Well today did not go as well as we expected. Alexandria, Scott, and I went to American Lake to take what maybe is our last ride on the boat. While Scott was painting the boat trailer, on someone's private property, Alex and I were riding around in the boat. About a hour and a half into the ride Alex and I came across a hidden underwater island ( more commonly known as hitting a rock). I went from 21 feet, to 8 feet, to 3 feet, in a matter of 2 seconds. Needless to say Alexandria and I had to paddle our way out of the shallow water (even though there were two boats withing 20 feet of me, just watching instead of asking if we needed any help, bums). Once we were back at 12 feet I started the motor and headed to shore. I broke the prop. I know, I know, don't let Kim drive (anything). Once ashore Scott verified that the boat and seen the last of the water for the day. We drove home, and Johnnny (a buddy Scott works with) and his wife had to drive an additional 1/2 hour to our house to see the boat, but no boat ride. They seemed to like the boat, and their kids definetly liked climbing in and out and playing with the sterring wheel. Tomorrow the family is driving to Johnny's to see the 1984 chevy shortbet, to see if we really want to trade the boat for the truck. The truck is for Josh. He will need to put in carpet and the steerling column, not to metion dropping the engine in (we get two engines 6 cyl, and 350 pushing 425). In the meantime we ordered pizza and ordering a movie, I can not tell you what movie because no one can decide, maybe Taken. Scott keeps looking out the window at our boat, I wonder if he is second guessing this trade, he says no, but with Scott I am not always sure. I know that he likes his boat, but I also know that he wants a bigger one, and this is a great starting off point.

Alexandria and Kayla and American Lake July 5th

Well we did not go to the 4th of July fireworks, we were so tired from driving home this day (Kim and Alex). We decided to go play in the water instead on Sunday. As you can see Scott did not get in the water. Scott doesn't trust anyone else to drive the boat, so he can play in the water, and I am not supposed to be in direct Sun light, so I have to wear a stupid hat and sunscreen (wwweeee). Alex and her friend Kayla had a great time on the tube. They tried to wake board but could not get up or get the board in the right direction. It was so funny watching the two of them trying to get up. They spent more time getting water up their noses then actually being on the board. Needless to say the next day they were both in pain. Complaining of arms hurting and upper chest pain.

Today is Fathers day and the kids and I are spending the beginning of our summer in Missoula, Mt. Scott is at home, he has to work. I personally have been trying to figure out this blog for several hours and almost gave up on the idea. I hope this gets to everyone. We miss everyone and hope that eveyone is enjoying their summer.
